These sleeper cells could be directed and supported by Iran to be activated and the Bureau is sounding preemptive alarms.

These sleeper cells have always been a concern not just for U.S. but also for other Western countries. The Iranian leadership who is now in hiding could be backed in to a corner and resort to activating its global cell network. The key target for these cells could be President Trump.
The ongoing war between Israel and Iran, and now U.S. strikes have left Tehran a wounded animal. Their military leadership is in bad shape following Israeli strikes. This could mean them resorting to such desperate actions. President Trump has already been a target for Iran before. This includes Iranian nations being charged with assassination plots. Trump is after all at top of Iran’s assassination list following the killing of Qasem Soleimani. The IRGC commander was killed in drone strikes ordered by then President Trump in 2020.
Apart from the United States, the United Kingdom and other European nations are also at high risk from the Iranian sleeper cells. If this offensive against Iran continues it is only time before we see them in action.
